Notch, le papa de Minecraft a décidé d’appeler son prochain jeu « Scrolls« . Malheureux hasard puisque la société Bethesda, qui édite aussi des jeux, a déjà dans son catalogue une série de jeu qui s’appelle The Elder Scrolls.
Vu qu’il s’agit d’une marque déposée, Bethesda a envoyé ses avocats à Notch… Pas cool.
Evidemment, Notch ne veut pas changer le nom de son jeu, et on le comprend. Du coup, pour régler ça de la manière la plus saine possible, il vient de proposer un duel à Bethesda ! Mais pas n’importe quel duel ! Un duel de Quake 3 !
« Je défi Bethesda à une partie de Quake 3. 3 de nos meilleurs guerriers contre 3 de vos meilleurs guerriers. Nous choisissons un niveau, vous choisissez l’autre, et on commence avec un au hasard. Des parties de 20 minutes et l’équipe qui a marqué le plus de frag, gagne.
Si nous gagnons vous abandonnez les poursuites.
Si vous gagnez, nous changerons le nom de Scrolls par quelque chose qui vous conviendra mieux. »
Moi j’dis, c’est beau ! Si tous les conflits du monde pouvaient se résoudre par un bon jeu en réseau, ce serait magique ! Bonne idée en tout cas, Notch !
